Players

Keegan Akin

Keegan Lee Akin (born April 1, 1995) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Baltimore Orioles organization.

Akin attended Bullock Creek High School in Midland, Michigan and played college baseball at Western Michigan University. He was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the second round of the 2016 Major League Baseball Draft.

Akin made his professional debut with the Aberdeen IronBirds and spent all of 2016 there, posting a 1.04 ERA in 26 innings. He spent 2017 with the Frederick Keys where he pitched to a 7-8 record and 4.14 ERA in 21 games started.

Pedro Araújo

Pedro Araújo (born July 2, 1993) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles of Major League Baseball.

The Orioles selected Araújo from the Chicago Cubs organization in the 2017 Rule 5 draft.

Ralston Cash

Ralston Alexander Cash (born August 20, 1991) is an American professional baseball pitcher who is in the Baltimore Orioles organization.

Cash attended Lakeview Academy in Georgia and was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2nd round of the 2010 MLB Draft. He played in 2010 for the Ogden Raptors and the Arizona League Dodgers. Major hip surgery ended his season early and caused him to miss the entire 2011 season. He returned to action with the Great Lakes Loons of the Midwest League in 2012, where he was 1-6 with a 6.42 ERA in nine games. In 2013, also with Great Lakes, he was 4-3 with a 3.19 ERA in 16 games (eight starts). He transitioned to the bullpen in 2014 where he was in 29 games for the Loons and another six for the Chattanooga Lookouts of the Double-A Southern League. He was 3-1 with a 2.90 ERA combined. In 2015, with the new AA affiliate, the Tulsa Drillers of the Texas League he was 2-6 with a 3.47 ERA in a career high 49 games. After the season, he played for the Glendale Desert Dogs in the Arizona Fall League and was named to the league's Fall Stars Game. He returned to Tulsa to start the 2016 season. He was 5-3 with a 3.00 ERA in 29 appearances for the Drillers and was then promoted to the Triple-A Oklahoma City Dodgers, where he was 4-0 with a 2.62 ERA in 17 appearances. After the season, the Dodgers assigned Cash to the Glendale Desert Dogs of the Arizona Fall League.

Cash announced on his Instagram page that he had been released by the Dodgers on August 14, 2017. Two days later he signed a minor league contract with the Seattle Mariners. On November 28, 2017, he signed a minor league contract with the Baltimore Orioles.

Cash founded the "Ralston Cash Foundation". Their mission is to help kids who have lost a parent to cancer in the previous year.

Néstor Cortés

Néstor Cortés (born December 10, 1994) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles of Major League Baseball.

Cortés attended Hialeah High School in Hialeah, Florida. The New York Yankees selected Cortés in the 36th round of the 2013 MLB draft. The Orioles selected him from the Yankees organization in the 2017 Rule 5 draft.

Drew Dosch

Drew Tyler Dosch (born June 24, 1992) is an American professional baseball third baseman in the Baltimore Orioles organization.

Dosch played college baseball at Youngstown State University from 2011 to 2013. During his career he played in 151 games and hit .325/.397/.447 with 11 home runs and 83 runs batted in (RBI). In his final collegiate game, he tore his ACL. Despite the injury, Dosch was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the seventh round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft. After spending 2013 rehabbing the injury, he made his professional debut in 2014 with the Delmarva Shorebirds. He finished the season with a Delmarva record 157 hits. Dosch started 2015 with the Frederick Keys.

Paul Fry

Paul Raymond Fry (born July 26, 1992) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Baltimore Orioles organization.

Fry was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 17th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft out of St. Clair County Community College. He made his professional debut with the Arizona League Mariners. He pitched for the Clinton LumberKings in 2014 and Bakersfield Blaze and Jackson Generals in 2015. After the 2015 season he played in the Arizona Fall League. He was invited to Spring Training by the Mariners in 2016. The Mariners added him to their 40-man roster after the season.

Josh Hart

Josh Hart (born October 2, 1994) is an American professional baseball outfielder in the Baltimore Orioles organization.

Hart was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the first round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft out of Parkview High School in Lilburn, Georgia. He signed with the Orioles and made his professional debut with the Gulf Coast Orioles. He also played for the Aberdeen IronBirds that season. In February 2014, Orioles manager Buck Showalter asked Hart to write a one-page report on Frank Robinson, after Hart admitted that he did not know about Robinson. Hart played 2014 with the Delmarva Shorebirds and Gulf Coast Orioles. He missed time during the season due to a torn meniscus.

David Hess

David James Hess (born July 10, 1993) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Baltimore Orioles organization.

Hess played college baseball at Tennessee Technological University. He was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the fifth round of the 2014 Major League Baseball draft. He made his professional debut with the Aberdeen IronBirds and also spent time with the Delmarva Shorebirds. He started 2015 with the Frederick Keys and was promoted to the Double-A Bowie Baysox during the season.

The Orioles added Hess to their 40-man roster after the 2017 season.

Chris Lee

Christopher Ulysses Lee (born August 17, 1992) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Baltimore Orioles organization.

Lee was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 37th round of the 2010 Major League Baseball draft out of Thomas Richard Robinson High School in Tampa, Florida. He did not sign with the White Sox and attended Santa Fe Community College. He was then drafted by the Houston Astros in the fourth round of the 2011 MLB draft. In May 2015, he was traded from the Astros to the Baltimore Orioles for two international signing bonus slots. The Orioles added him to their 40-man roster after the season.

Jesús Liranzo

Jesús Manuel Liranzo Ramón (born March 7, 1995) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles organization. In 2016, he played for the Delmarva Shorebirds of the Class A South Atlantic League and the Bowie Baysox of the Class AA Eastern League. The Orioles added him to their 40-man roster after the season.

José Mesa Jr.

José Ramón Mesa Jr. (born August 13, 1993) is a Dominican-American baseball player in the Baltimore Orioles organization.

Mesa attended Charles W. Flanagan High School in Pembroke Pines, Florida, beginning in his sophomore year, and played for the school's baseball team. He committed to attend Seminole State Community College.

The New York Yankees selected Mesa in the 24th round of the 2012 MLB draft. Mesa signed with the Yankees. In 2015, the Yankees assigned him to the Staten Island Yankees of the Class A-Advanced New York-Penn League. The Orioles selected Mesa from the Yankees in the 2017 Rule 5 draft.

Mesa's father, José Mesa, played in Major League Baseball.

Ryan Mountcastle

Ryan Lee Mountcastle (born February 18, 1997) is an American professional baseball shortstop in the Baltimore Orioles organization. He attended Hagerty High School in Oviedo, Florida. He was drafted by the Orioles in the first round of the 2015 MLB draft. He signed with the Orioles and was assigned to the GCL Orioles to begin his professional career. After batting .313 with three home runs and 14 RBIs for the Orioles, he was promoted to the Aberdeen IronBirds, where batted .212 in ten games to finish the season. Mountcastle spent 2016 with the Delmarva Shorebirds where he posted a .281 average with ten home runs and 51 RBIs, along with a .745 OPS. In 2017, he spent time between the Frederick Keys and the Bowie BaySox, batting a combined .287 along with a career high 18 home runs and 62 RBIS between both teams.

Cedric Mullins

Boyce Cedric Mullins (born October 1, 1994) is an American professional baseball outfielder in the Baltimore Orioles organization.

Mullins attended Brookwood High School in Snellville, Georgia and played college baseball at Louisburg College and Campbell University. He was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 13th round of the 2015 Major League Baseball Draft.

Mullins made his professional debut with the Aberdeen IronBirds in 2015, spending the whole season there, posting a .264 batting average with two home runs and 32 RBIs. He played 2016 with the Delmarva Shorebirds, batting .273 with 14 home runs and 55 RBIs, and spent 2017 with the Bowie BaySox, where he batted .265 with 13 home runs, 37 RBIs, and a .778 OPS.

Yefry Ramírez

Yefry Ramírez Alcala (born November 28, 1993) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher in the Baltimore Orioles organization.

Ramírez signed with the Arizona Diamondbacks as an international free agent in January 2011. He was selected by the New York Yankees in the minor league portion of the Rule 5 Draft in 2015. The Yankees added him to their 40-man roster after the 2016 season. The Yankees traded Ramírez to the Orioles on July 31, 2017.

Jomar Reyes

Jomar Michel Reyes Pimentel (born February 20, 1997) is a Dominican professional baseball third baseman in the Baltimore Orioles organization.

Matt Wotherspoon

Matt Mark Wotherspoon (born October 6, 1991) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles organization.

Wotherspoon graduated from Crestwood High School in Mountain Top, Pennsylvania. He attended the University of Pittsburgh, where he played college baseball for the Pittsburgh Panthers. The New York Yankees selected Wotherspoon in the 34th round of the 2014 MLB draft. He made his professional debut with the Staten Island Yankees of the Class A-Short Season New York-Penn League. In 2015, Wotherspoon pitched for the Charleston RiverDogs of the Class A South Atlantic League, the Tampa Yankees of the Class A-Advanced Florida State League, and the Trenton Thunder of the Class AA Eastern League. He began the 2016 season with Trenton, and was promoted to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders of the Class AAA International League in May.

The Yankees traded Wotherspoon to the Orioles in 2017 for international signing bonus money. The Orioles assigned him to the Norfolk Tides of the International League.

After the 2015 season, Wotherspoon worked to complete his undergraduate degree at Wilkes University.

Austin Wynns

Robert Austin Wynns (born December 10, 1990) is an American professional baseball catcher in the Baltimore Orioles organization.

Wynns attended Poway High School in Poway, California and played college baseball at Fresno State. He was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 10th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft. He made his professional debut with the Aberdeen IronBirds.

After the 2016 season, Wynns played in the Arizona Fall League. He played the 2017 season with the Bowie Baysox. The Orioles added him to their 40-man roster after the 2017 season.
