Don't Be S.A.F.E. is the debut mixtape by Trinidadian hip hop recording artist Trinidad James. The mixtape was self-released on September 18, 2012, but was re-released exclusively to retailers as an extended play on January 29, 2013 by Gold Gang Records, with distribution by Def Jam (Universal Music Group). The mixtape features guest appearances by other indie artists including Reija Lee and ForteBowie and an uncredited appearance by Curren$y (who is credited as Juke on the mixtape release). The retail version features a remix to "All Gold Everything", featuring fellow Atlanta rappers, T.I., Young Jeezy and 2 Chainz, in which only Jeezy and 2 Chainz are James' Def Jam labelmates.

The mixtape was re-released as a retail EP on January 29, 2013, by Gold Gang and Def Jam, where it features the remix to "All Gold Everything" with guest appearances from other fellow hometown rappers: T.I. along with Def Jam's labelmates Young Jeezy and 2 Chainz. French Montana was also intended to appear on the remix, but was cut off due to sample clearance issues and length problems.
